A Walk Down Memory Lane for My Birthday.
Happy Birthday to me! What a wonderful way to spend a birthday than to be alone in Danbury on a rainy day. I think someone is sticking it to me.
It's ok though cause yan and I celebrated on Sunday instead. She took me back to the University of Maryland to have a picnic. It was great temperature wise as we toted our picnic basket out to the mall. She packed salad, sandwiches, hummus, strawberries, and li'l cupcakes. It was very thoughtful of her, not to mention all the Maryland paraphernalia she showered me with as presents.
It was really nice to be back on campus. So many things have changed since I graduated. They've built up so many new suites and buildings. It's great to see the university improving for the better. Walking around the old stomping grounds really brought back the memories. I still remember the days of running from Van Munching to Tydings and just hanging out in Anne Arundel and skipping classes simply because it's drizzling outside. And the biggest worries at the time were the location of the class, do I have any friends in it, studying for midterms, and calculating the minimum grade you can get on a test and still make an A. It seemed hard at the time, so trivial now when it's compared to worrying about mortgages and directions to take in life. I'm not trying to say that I want to go back to college. I guess it's just nice to look back on life and reminisce every once in a while.
